Early in 2007, the International Shotokan Karate Federation separated from the Japan Karate Association. The majority of the ISKF member nations remained with the ISKF and Canada is one of those nations.
Within the pages of this new website, you will find a great deal of information on the ISKF of Canada.

NB Karateka and Olympic Torch
Jeffrey Soucy of the Edmundston Shotokan Karate took part in the Torch Relay on Nov 28, 2009. He received this opportunity thanks to his outstanding performances at the 2008 ISKF World Shoto Cup in Toronto and the 2009 ISKF Canadian Championships in Calgary.
